Repotting Notes
Repotting can be a bit of a shock to your orchid plants. So, for a few weeks after repotting a plant you want to nurture it.
  1. Repot after blooms are finished.
  2. Repot in winter or spring, not in hot summer months.
  3. Repot every 1 to 2 years.
  4. After repotting, mist the leaves lightly twice a day for two weeks (healthy plants) to four weeks (weak plants). Spray early in the day no later than mid day. Add 3 drops Superthrive and 3 drops Dyna-Grow KLN to the misting water.
  5. Place the newly repotted orchid plant in a location where it will receive less light than what they usually get.
  6. Water the newly repotted plant with Superthrive and Dyna-Grow KLN.
  7. Do not water for a week after repotting. Water lightly, just enough to get the potting media moist, not enough to allow water to run out the drain holes in the pot.
  8. After one week, water thoroughly once a week.
  9. Add Superthrive and Dyna-Grow KLN instead of fertilizer for the first 4 waterings after repotting.
  10. Study up on the specific orchids repotting needs.
